We are so grateful to all of you for your support throughout 2017.Because of your kindness, we've been able to provide wood for home heat to elders in need. We were able to support the 2017 Crazy Horse ride by providing food and drinks. Plus, we've established the first Lacrosse team on Pine Ridge, the Oglala Wild. The Charging Buffalo House is nearly complete, thanks to many who have worked so hard to raise funds. All this, while feeding about 500 families each month with fresh, healthy food that is unavailable to them from any other programs. Your generosity has also helped feed the children of the Allen Youth Center and the Rosebud Soup kitchen. Every one of you and every single donation has benefited our support of the Oglala Lakota.
A Few More Opportunities to Help
As the year winds down and the Holidays are upon us, we hope you'll consider these opportunities as a way to help the Oglala Lakota of Pine Ridge during this season of giving.
You can donate directly to One Spirit where you know your gift will be well used and much appreciated.
GIVING TUESDAY...IT'S A THING!
On this global day of giving Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are matching up to $2 million of funds raised on Facebook for U.S. nonprofits. Facebook is also waiving all fees for donations made to nonprofits on Facebook this #GivingTuesday. Holiday Okini List
While our regular Okini list runs 365 days a year, helping with urgent needs, the Holiday Okini List is for a limited time only. The families on this list will not be receiving gifts from any other source and are our most desperately in need of help during the Holidays. Please choose an individual to help- even one small gift makes a difference to people who have nothing.
If you click the Family (the "head" of the family), you will have the option to give a gift to just one person or give something the whole family can enjoy.
You will then receive the names and mailing addresses needed to send an item directly to the family you chose.
Rosebud Homeless Shelter and Soup Kitchen
For the past few years, we have helped Director of the Rosebud Homeless Shelter, Marian Sorace provide small gifts for the Lakota in the shelter. Marian also distributes food and gifts to people in the 23 outlying areas and has welcomed donations to be sent through Jan. 1, 2018 since it takes her a while to make the rounds.
Please send your gift directly to her at:

From Rosie at the Singing Horse Trading Post:
We would like to invite you to check out our ever expanding new e-store, just launched within this week. Just in time for your holiday shopping!
During the winter months 8 out of 10 of the phone calls we receive here at Singing Horse, are local artists needing to sell their work to support their families. Please note that your purchase of Lakota made arts and crafts directly supports economic development, self-sufficiency and sustainability, for the artists of the Oglala Lakota Nation.
Give back this Holiday Season!
Thank you for supporting us here at Singing Horse Trading Post!
