Donate for the food program and win a beautiful dreamcatcher!
One Spirit is raising money for a December’s Food Drive for Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. This is the final raffle for dream catchers until next Thanksgiving.
Last Month’s raffle was won by Ricardo serving in the services in Japan and Eduard from Germany and Debbie from North Carolina. I thank everyone for their support and generous donations! This month there are my favorite 3 dream catchers handmade by Wade Standing Bear, an Oglala Lakota from Pine Ridge South Dakota Indian reservation and currently a prisoner in South Dakota. A beautiful purple and crystal that is beaded in the inside and 3d two globes one with shades of red and white and porcupine quill feathers and one with the sacred four colors of the Oglala and orange. The Prisoners can no longer use hoops because someone used it to make a weapon so Wade chews the top off of soda cans and uses the top to make the hoop and sews leather to cover it and then beads them. For the globes he combines two of these soda tops to make a 3 dimensional globe pointing in each of the four directions. He then beads and makes the intertwined web. It takes 3 to 4 days for each one and he prays on each bead. These are beautifully crafted and blessed. These are very unique dream catchers and I know of no one else who makes them this way. Wade is the great great great grandson of Chief Luther Standing Bear. These are priceless dreamcatchers which takes days to make. If he were paid minimum wage it would price at $100 for the flat dreamcatcher and $285 for the globe dreamcatchers.
There will be a donation of one raffle ticket for each $25 donated to the food drive. You can make your donationsdirectly at this website. These donations will go towards the December food drive. Hopefully enough money will be raised so each needy family will get a turkey for Christmas. These dreamcatchers can be shipped overseas.
Good luck and thank you for your donations and forwarding this on to others who want to give. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday season!
