Buffalo Processing Facility Receives a Boost

Handing over the cheque

The family of Tess Updegrove, recently deceased One Spirit Area Service Coordinator for Pine Ridge, traveled to Pine Ridge Reservation last weekend. Their mission was twofold: to spread her ashes in the Black Hills, and to deliver a check for the Buffalo Processing Facility. The check for $3,500.00 was presented to Bamm by Tess's family, in the hopes of helping complete this important project. We are honored to be the recipient of their kindness.

Final resting place

Pe' Sla (the Heart of All That Is)

Tess had requested that her ashes be spread in the Black Hills. Her family chose the most sacred of all places (to the Lakota,) Pe' Sla. They made a short video of the beauty of the area before their ceremony.
